For Sale By Owner

Do you have a house or condo that you want to sell, but it is not listed?  Here is your place to list it for FREE.  You can even upload photos if you would like.  Be sure to leave contact information in case someone is interested in learning more about it.

Here are the rules:  1) Although we call this “For Sale By Owner,” feel free to post rental listings here as well; 2) Please don’t post here if your home is already on the MLS with a Realtor.  3) Please notify us or post on the site when you sell and/or rent your place.  You may even get a “congradulations” from someone.

That’s it.  Should be pretty easy.

Landlords: The Good. The Bad. The Ugly

Do you rent in the Oak Park area? Have you had a great experience with a landlord and want to recommend him or her to other prospective renters? Have you had a bad experience and want to give a “heads up” to your fellow renter? Well, here is the place for you. Go a head and give us your feedback on the many landlords in town.

We have only a couple requests: 1) Please be fair and honest. People who throw out lies about landlords to get back at them for personal matters only lessen the credibility of others who honestly want to warn others. 2) Watch your language. We know that tensions can be very high when discussing housing issues. However, we will have to delete any posts that have inappropriate language.

Welcome to The OPRF Real Estate Blog

If you have been looking for a place to learn what it is going on with the real estate market in Oak Park, River Forest or Forest Park, you search is over. This site was created by a group of local professionals from fields associated with real estate who want to provide up-to-date information about the market and how it impacts you.

Our panel consists of a real estate agent, a real estate attorney, an accountant, two insurance professional (one property/casualty and one life/retirement planning), a mortgage broker and home inspector. We believe this team of professionals is exactly what people need in order to stay on top of the ever-changing issues associated with real estate.

Please come back often. Our site will be going through significant changes over the next month or so as we complete its launch and integrate more tools for you use. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to email them to John.Plepel@EscrowRE.com.

Lastly, be on the lookout for our panel presentation titled “There’s more to buying real estate than ‘buying real estate.”’
